VISION
Berean Christian Junior Academy exists to show children Jesus Christ, nurture their love for
Him and others, teach them to think critically and analytically, and empower
them to serve.
ESLR’s (Expected Student
Learning Results) embrace the comprehensive educational process:
Bible-based learning is the framework for true wisdom.
Critical Thinkers are developed and empowered through intentional experiential
and expeditionary instructional methods.
Joyful Citizens evolve out of a rich Spiritual, educational, social, and fine
arts school culture.
Academically Literate young people emerge who are equipped to analytically handle the
communication, corporate, technological, social, emotional, and Spiritual
challenges, choices and opportunities they will face while maintaining their
focus on Christ or Heaven.
Our Philosophy
Berean Christian Junior Academy is operated by the Berean
Seventh-day Adventist Church to provide a Spiritually-orientated education for
children and youth. A belief in the existence of the Creator God is fundamental
in the philosophy of our distinctively Seventh-day Adventist school.
We respect His Divine authority and recognize His intervention
in human affairs. We believe that true education develops the Spiritual,
mental, physical, and social powers of each student; preparing them for the joy
of service in this life and for the higher joy of service in the life to come.
Berean Christian Junior Academy operates in harmony with the
guidance and direction of the South Atlantic Conference, the Southern Union
Conference, and the North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist
Church. (www.bcjaschool.org, www.southatlanticconference.org, www.nadeducation.org.)
